Adventures in Georgia

First off...let me say Atlanta is quite a long way from Central Florida by car. Approximately 8 hours straight through and lots of very boring stretches of road in between. The neon signs advertising pecans, oranges and fireworks of all things might as well be mile markers with at least one per exit on the highways and interstates. Not to be outclassed, however, Georgia has about twenty signs per exit for everything from Food to Strippers. No offense to anyone living in Georgia...but you guys have a shit ton of Adult Toy Store Billboards. Maybe the old people of Florida are just too prude? I dunno.

Once in Atlanta, we discovered the existence of 24 lane highways. It. was. insane. So after surviving a long ass drive we got to our hotel, got con badges and all that, went to set up the table, and low and behold, the roof is leaking, right behind out table where we're going to be sitting the next day. Con staffs solution? - A giant rolly trash can to sit behind us and generally be in the way. Sadly, we had it better off than the people two tables down who actually had a small trashcan taking up one side of their table due to another leak there. I hope they get the roof fixed for next year!

Anyways, we had an awesome time! My friends and I sold a lot of stuff and we are seriously considering going back next year. Thanks to everyone who came by to visit!

We were really lucky because apparently right after we left, the city flooded. O_o; We didn't do it! I swear!

A few notes from our own personal experiences for anyone going to Atlanta from out of town/state:

GPS's may get screwed up on the highways and get you lost..take a print out or map along just to be safe

When ordering Taco Bell in Atlanta..don't get the Tostada. Seriously, Demy got really sick after eating one.
